Upleveling
Upon Reflection of Birthdays, Decades, and Centuries
On March 26th at 12:31 AM standing under the full moon on the beach in the Mexican village of Puerto Morelos, I turned 50. The math states I have now lived a half-century of life. I’m down to round it out with at least another half-century to get the gold watch, medal, key to the city, or whatever token we may bestow upon centenarians in 2074.
In this age-negative culture, it’s rare we see a birthday as what it truly is: an upleveling.
A birthday, another year, and a new decade can bring a new perspective. It certainly has for me. It was this time about 24 years ago that I began my practice, so next year will be a quarter-century of consciousness design. Reflecting on those humans I have been grateful to journey with over that time is almost overwhelming.
I’ve been so enriched by my work I feel like every connection I have made has been its own upleveling.
Experience is a gift.
Connection is a gift.
Upleveling is a gift.
And none of these gifts are guaranteed tomorrow.
Upon reflection, how might you design your consciousness to celebrate experience, connection, and uplevel your perspective?
Broadening your awareness to honor all experiences and connections as shaping your consciousness allows you choose your perspective. It is with that wisdom we can refine our choices of experiences and connections to become more aligned with our pleasure and bliss over time.
That is what I call a potent upleveling.
