Inhabiting Our Multitudes
Playfully Calling Upon the Wisdom of Archetypes in Your Consciousness Design
What has been fun in your consciousness design lately?
My consciousness design practice has included a lot of poetry writing lately. And if I have been writing, then I have been reading. I experience reading and writing as the inhale and exhale of my Creator archetype.
Walt Whitman’s Song of Myself is always in the reading rotation. I gather such permission to be all of me in my sovereignty from the stanza: “Do I contradict myself?/Very well then I contradict myself,/(I am large, I contain multitudes.)”
Interestingly, I have been inhaling so much more than I have been exhaling lately. That’s a playful way of saying I have been reading a lot more than I have been writing particularly for The Bliss Manifesto, which is odd for me, because I love to write. And I simply couldn’t figure out why I have been behaving in such a way.
This has been causing me a lot of dissonance, static, and frustration with myself; which, in turn, is absolutely sapping my energy for creation. Of course!
So I decided I needed to opt into the powerful practice of INSTEAD.
Innovating through instead is one of the most potent practices in consciousness design.
The practice of instead invites the inspiration and creativity of alternative paths.
Even inviting in the options through the practice of instead, I still felt stuck. You know the feeling.
It was then I knew I needed to go deeper, playfully get beyond my ego, and invite in the wisdom of archetypes. In this case, I noticed the energy of my Creator archetype ready and fired up to help me get out of my own way.
Archetypes are profiles of energy we experience over and over again in our collective consciousness. Even if this concept is new for you, you may recognize archetypes like Mother, Father, Teacher, Warrior, Queen, Rebel, and many others. Carl Jung wrote extensively on archetypes as a facet of our collective unconscious, as he called it. Many philosophers have extrapolated from and expanded the array of archetypes beyond Jung’s traditional twelve.
As a facet of The Bliss Manifesto, I have tapped into archetypes unique to pleasure-illuminated living and look forward to sharing the book soon. As I have tuned into Jung’s Creator, that archetype takes on a dynamic and playful energy. As I immersed myself into aspecting with the Creator, allowing my subconscious to commune with Creator energy, I found precisely the guidance I was craving:
Creation is play, so get to playing!
When I let myself start with the beingness of the fun of creating, the words began to flow again.
I invite you into the wisdom of your multitudes through archetypal immersion, awesome ones. Whose energy might you want to call into your consciousness? Allow that active imagination to ignite the inspiration of your inner archetypes. And if I can be of service as your guide, you know how to connect.
May you inhabit your multitudes with power, awesome ones.
