Transmuting Inconvenience Into Adaptation: The New Office Saga

Hello, awesome ones! I land here in your inbox with much to share and some more opportunities for connection.

Life over the last six weeks has brought massive fun shifts for the Bliss Mystic Collective, the most impactful of which is finally landing in a new office again here in Portland, Maine!

I’d love to share the saga with you as it has been a powerful exercise in adaptation.

The saga began with telling as many locals I could that since I sold my Old Port office last year that I was seeking a space. I had been looking for another office space with inspired curiosity rather than urgency (so I thought).

I thought I felt like I was going with the flow since most of you who I am honored to serve live all around the planet. Our office will always be virtual and I love that we thrive together that way.

As I was “going with the flow,” each of the offices I checked out just didn’t feel aligned, but I was impatient for a space. Then on the same day I found out an office I was deciding to compromise on wasn’t actually available, I learned that an office in the same building where I had my very first office just opened up!

I learned about this opportunity eight years to the day when I moved out of that building into the office I sold last year.

Synchronicity is such a vibe.

I realized I thought I was going with the flow, but, in fact, I was acting out of manufactured urgency because I am excited to offer more in-person sessions and offerings, one of which you received an invitation to earlier this month called the Firestarters Series.

When I stepped back into the old/new office, I realized that was precisely what I wanted.

I didn’t want an office, I wanted this office!

I pulled the ripcord immediately and was convinced all would be ready for the premier of the Firestarters Series, which was supposed to happen this very evening.

I was fired up (pun intended) to gather kindred spirits in the new office!

I thought I was rejecting the “cult of certainty.” (You can read more about that here.)

I knew the timeline was aggressive to get the new furniture in and the office settled, but I was determined.

Then the furniture arrived…damaged and unusable.

Alas, sometimes determination or not, adaptation has to be the jam.

So here I am transmuting inconvenience into adaptation.

The new furniture arrives now at the beginning of July. And Firestarters is delightfully rescheduled for Thursday, July 25th. Read on to learn more about the forthcoming Firestarters in the old/new office!

All of this is a reminder that the schedule is merely a suggestion and the ability to transmute inconvenience into adaptation will be a more refined skill going forward.

I will be going with the flow with much more peace and ease after this reminder.

Honoring the path of consciousness design, I recognize this experience is an invitation into more curiosity.

I offer you the questions I have been playing with for self-inquiry:

Where else in my life can I be more adaptable?

How does it feel in my body when I am truly inviting flow?

Reach out by replying to this Mindfood if these questions stir some insight on how you adapt and go with the flow. I love our dialogue.

I’m grateful for offering these opportunities for connection. Seasonal transitions are a powerful time to honor the energy of transformation. As always, I’m honored to be your guide!

No matter how we get there, let’s align and flow, awesome one.
